Natalia Sinkovsky

Biography

Natalia Sinkovsky was born in Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan in 1959. As a child, she enjoyed both drawing and mathematics, which led her to study architecture. She earned a master’s degree from the Ust-Kamenogorsk Building Institute in 1981, taking drawing and painting courses throughout her studies. After graduating, she worked as an architect and interior designer in the city of Leninogorsk.
In 1995, Sinkovsky and her family immigrated to Israel, where she continued her work in architecture and interior design, including designing a museum for one of Israel’s largest corporations. In 2002, she decided to pursue art full-time, experimenting with sculpture. The sea became her greatest inspiration, particularly for her sailboat series, which depicts colorful yachts on the waves, boat races, and romantic sunset sailing trips. She describes the sea as a never-ending source of happiness that she wishes to share through her artwork.
Her painting style draws from abstract art, Expressionism, Baroque, Cubism, Constructivism, and Minimalism, reflecting her architectural background. Sinkovsky works boldly, applying acrylic on canvas without preliminary sketches, using a palette knife to create thick layers of paint before adding graphic elements. Her optimistic palette features bright, cheerful colors including blue, aquamarine, purple, red, yellow, pink, and lilac. Represented by Park West Gallery, her work is collected worldwide and has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia.
